Animation Changes
There are some things I've found in the GW animations that I think should be changed:
1. Ranger's shooting animation. I hate how rangers curve their legs and bend their backs to shoot. Real archers stand up straight to shoot (I know because my brother and sister are in their college archery teams)... There's no other way to do it (unless you want a bad shot).
2. Spell/attack animations. I know it would cause more lag, but the spells aside from Lightbolt or something look really dull and boring IMO. I expect attacks like Maelstrom to look much more devastating than just a blue flash...
3. Eotn animations. Raven Dive is a cheer animation gone wrong... I really don't need to explain...

They could do it i suppose, but it should be an option to trigger on and off because having better animations etc could cause major lag on less powerful computers.
Also, I like how rangers shoot, some spells have better animations. For example volley has a sick animation around the bow, whilst cripshot or pin down give the descriptions u just described.

To the ranger animations: meh. They also frequently tilt their bow horizontal to shoot. Oh, and arrows get lit on fire for no reason at all. Why? Because it looks awesome, which is why rangers bend their backs to shoot and you can't. =P

sadly for the most part that part of the game is not really looked at when playing pvp, the same is true for elite armors. if this game had a little more focus on looking at what the player is doing in game then i would agree and say ya some if not all of the animations need to be changed. but for the most part we are just looking at what skill they use from the ui.

Animations should cause no lag at all, since thay are only displayed at client side. (Server indicates to client: Display animation X, on which the client can render an animation of any complexity.)

Like anything in the game is like the real thing. To stay with rangers: the male ranger dance is bullshit: nobody locks (stand up part of the dance) and then throws a windmill (floormove), they are from 2 different dance styles...
anyway, I don't really bother with it.
